For Jazz at Lincoln Center's 30th anniversary concert season, I created the 2017–18 identity around a "30 Years of Jazz" mark. We sought to position JALC away studio photography of guest artists and focus on the visuals of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, as well as the emotion of jazz. We used dark monotones with overprints of rich blue and reddish-pink, supported by a vibrant yellow. The "30 Years" mark itself was a strong graphic presence, used as a repeating pattern or as an anchor for layouts. The motif was carried through subscriptions materials, general on-sale collateral, letterhead, listing ads, outdoor advertising, video, and in Jazz at Lincoln Center's public spaces at Columbus Circle.
