Syria in Ink

Molly Crabapple’s and Marwan Hisham’s exhibition showcased her beautiful and poignant pen-and-ink illustrations–some punctuated by color. Her “illustration journalism” is inspired, and I wanted to foreground the work and subject matter in dramatic fashion. The title treatment leverages one of her pieces, stylizing it with added color, and carried into wall vinyls, catalog cover, and social media promotional assests. Photo courtesy @hurfordcenter.
